Chocolate Pudding Cake

Are you preparing for a home and garden special occasion like a birthday? Chocolate pudding cake is extremely delicious and easy to make and it makes its own sauce. This recipe includes a fantastic fudge sauce to give the best results. This receipt is great for eating your cake on the sofa recliner at home. Be sure however to use the best cookware available to maximize taste. Wash all cooking instruments under the kitchen faucet before starting to cook.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2tsp baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon of sea salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ salt
  • ¼ unsalted, melted butter
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/3 brown sugar

Fudge Sauce

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup boiling water

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Use a 9-inch baking dish and spray with oil. Meanwhile, pre-boil water in a kettle as you prepare the cake.

For the Cake

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and cocoa. Add in milk, vanilla, and butter and whisk until smooth and fluffy for about 4 minutes.

Spread butter evenly on the baking pan

For the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together granulated brown sugar with tsp of cocoa powder. Spread evenly over the batter and slowly pour a ¾ cup of boiling water on top. Do not stir but allow the water to sit on top.

Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes or until center wiggles when shaken. When center is set, remove from oven and allow to cool for about 5 minutes.

Cut into squares and spoon sauce over each cake. Top each serving with vanilla ice cream and spray cocoa on top. You can serve in individual dishes or dig the whole cake.
